Russell Smith joined the Georgia District Team as District KidMin Director in August 2020. Before becoming KidMin Director, Russell served as Kids Pastors for 10 years at First Assembly of God (Saraland, AL) then 16 years at First Assembly of God (Griffin, GA). He and his wife, Misty, have been married for 25 years and have two children, Ryleigh and Drew, and one basset hound, Willow. Russell graduated from Southeastern University and has been an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God since 1998. Russell’s passions in life are his family, camping and outdoor adventures, and disc golf.

Liz joined the KidMin team in 2022. She has worked in children’s ministry for many years and has a passion for serving in ministry administratively. Liz has been married to her husband David for 15 years and together they have one son Caleb.

Amy Bilsland is the District Girls Ministries Director but also serves full-time as the Family Life Ministries Pastor at Christ Chapel Sportstowne in Macon, GA. She has also served as the Children’s and Youth Pastor at previous churches and has worked as the Director of an Early Childhood Center and After School Director. She met her husband, Steve while in college and they have three beautiful children, all of which are so unique, crazy fun, and boldly love Jesus. Amy is passionate about life, loving others, and believes that our authenticity and consistency honor God and inspire people. A few of her favorite things are good coffee, home and foreign missions, her four legged hairy kids and most importantly, her family!

Derek Goodwin is the GA Royal Rangers District Commander. He grew up in the Royal Rangers ministry at First Assembly of God in Albany. With help from Atlanta area commanders, he continued as a leader during his college years at Georgia Tech. Over the years since, he has served in several leadership positions at the church, state, and regional levels. He currently attends Encounter Church in Toccoa since moving to the area with his work.

Roshelle Speir has been in full time ministry with her husband, Eric for over twenty years and is currently serving at SAGU Valor, the college at Griffin First Assembly. She graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Pastoral Ministries from Southeastern University and is a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God. Roshelle has been involved in all levels of Junior Bible Quiz, at the district, regional and national levels. She is a mom of four and enjoys spending time with her family, game nights, hiking, and other outdoor adventures. She has a passion for seeing children and their families not only hide the Word of God in their hearts but have a truly intimate relationship with their Creator.

Bob & Lynn Aston were the first Assemblies of God US Missions Nationally Appointed Children’s Ministry Missionaries. Prior to their appointment, they served 18 years as the Children’s / Associate Pastors of Celebration Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Bob and Lynn have two children, Zachary and Emily. Bob is a Certified Ministry Coach and also serves as the National Director of Kings Castle USA and is the Assemblies of God US Missions Children’s Ministry Liaison. Bob and Lynn are involved in missions ministry and training at home and abroad.
